Responsibilities
- develop, implement, and monitor quality assurance and performance improvement programs
- establish and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to patient care, safety, and compliance, analyse quality metrics and trends to identify areas for improvement
- participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) meetings and facilitate in taking corrective actions to ensure quality and safety issues
- conduct regular rounds in patient care areas to ensure care is delivered according to the quality and safety standards
- coordinate with multidisciplinary teams in the development of policies and procedures relevant to the delivery of quality patient care.
- ensure that nursing practices are compliant with institutional and accrediting body standards, i.e. Joint Commission Internation (JCI), Safe Care etc. and promote a culture of safety and high-quality care through engagement with nursing teams, collaborate with nursing management team to address performance issues and facilitate staff improvement plans
- collect and analyse data related to nursing care quality and patient outcomesprepare and present reports on nursing quality metrics to leadership teams and committees.
- Use data-driven insights to drive clinical improvements and informed decision-making
- implement and maintain systems for continuous quality monitoring, i.e. patient satisfaction surveys, incident reporting systems etc.
- work closely with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, managers, and quality and patient safety department to enhance patient care.
Requirements
- Baccalaureate degree in Nursing from an accredited degree programme, preferably a Master’s degree in the same
- at least three years of experience, preferably with two years of experience in nursing administration and clinical teaching at a tertiary care healthcare organization
- ability to enhance quality nursing practice through evidence-based practices, patient care standards and clinical protocols
- adept in performing and interpreting needs analysis and translate the findings into actionable next steps
- excellent interpersonal skills, particulary communication skills and ability to effectively work with multidisciplinary teams
- ability to work under-pressure and meet stringent deadlines
- willingness to work in shifts.
