Job Summary:
The Head of Machine Maintenance is responsible for leading the maintenance team to ensure the smooth operation, reliability, and efficiency of all machinery and equipment. This role involves strategic planning, scheduling maintenance activities, troubleshooting issues, and implementing preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance Strategy:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance strategy that aligns with production goals.
- Plan and schedule regular maintenance activities to prevent unplanned downtime.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of maintenance technicians and engineers.
- Provide training and development opportunities to ensure the team is up-to-date with the latest maintenance practices.
- Troubleshooting and Repairs:
- Oversee the diagnosis of machinery malfunctions and coordinate timely repairs.
- Ensure the availability of spare parts and maintain inventory levels to minimize downtime.
- Preventative Maintenance:
- Design and implement preventative maintenance programs to extend the life of equipment and reduce the risk of breakdowns.
- Monitor equipment performance and adjust maintenance schedules as necessary.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure that all maintenance activities comply with health and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of machinery and maintenance procedures.
- Budget Management:
- Develop and manage the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness without compromising quality.
- Track maintenance costs and identify areas for cost reduction.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in machine maintenance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues.
- Proficiency in maintenance management software.
Pay: Rs1.00 - Rs2.00 per month
