*Job Summary*
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of accounts payable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, and maintaining strong relationships with vendors. This role requires a solid understanding of general accounting principles and financial concepts, as well as proficiency in relevant financial software.
*Responsibilities*
- Process and review invoices for accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Ensure timely payment of all accounts payable obligations.
- Maintain vendor records and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
- Prepare and process journal entries related to accounts payable transactions.
- Assist in month-end closing activities, including reconciliations and reporting.
- Collaborate with other departments to facilitate smooth financial operations.
- Stay updated on tax regulations and ensure compliance in all transactions.
- Other related duties as assigned.
*Experience/Skills*
- Must be reliable and extremely trustworthy.
- Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar role is preferred.
- Strong understanding of financial concepts, including debits and credits, tax regulations, and governmental accounting practices.
- Familiarity with technical accounting standards and practices is a plus.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related programs.
- Must be able to learn other accounting software systems.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

- High school diploma required.
- Business or Accounting degree preferred.
