Administrative Assistant/Receptionist

Buchanan & Harper, Inc. is seeking an administrative assistant to join our
fast-paced, highly congenial workplace. The ideal candidate is efficient,
detail-oriented and skilled in developing and maintaining workplace and
customer relationships. Buchanan & Harper has offered surveying and
engineering services in Bay County for over 60 years. We are a family-oriented
drama and drug free workplace, offering a full benefit package as well as 401(k),

Position also requires extensive training. Employee will learn new skills and
Surveying/Engineering terminology to create accurate work orders and conduct
extensive research about properties, legal documents, and more. We understand
that many people are unaware of what Surveying entails and will train the right
candidate. Looking for someone punctual, detail oriented, and that works well with
a team as well as independently.
Duties:
Provides administrative support to ensure efficient office operations.
Digital literacy and research skills, including the ability to analyze the
reliability of information
Proficient with standard office platforms, such as Microsoft Office and
Excel
Data management and entry skills, including the ability to maintain and
improve filing systems
Accurate record keeping
Written communication skills
Time management, multitasking, and flexibility
Organizational skills
Accuracy and attention to detail
Supply management and inventory control
Interpersonal skills, professional and courteous demeanor, excellent
office and phone etiquette, and the ability to diffuse tense situations
Ability to work well under pressure and navigate multiple deadlines
Proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement
Ability to work well independently and in collaboration with others
Operates and maintains office equipment, including printers, copiers,
and large format printers.
Education:
High school or equivalent, associate’s degree a plus
Certified administrative Professional (CAP), Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS)
certification a plus
Skills:
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Proven experience in an administrative or clerical role
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all work performed
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point)
- Experience with Quick Books is a plus
- Familiarity with Google Suite (Gmail, Google Docs, Google Sheets)
Experience:
Administrative Experience: 2 years (Required)
Microsoft Office: 2 years (Preferred)
This is a full-time position with competitive pay based on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical insurance, dental benefits, and paid time off. Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
