Location: Primarily local, with occasional out-of-area and overnight travel required.
Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise employees directly or indirectly within the program. This includes interviewing, hiring, and training employees, as well as planning, assigning, and directing their work.

Reporting Relationship:

• Reports directly to the Program Manager.

Qualifications:
Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
• 5+ years of experience in research and development, acquisition, design, system integration, testing, evaluation, logistics, or operational experience with USCG or Navy ships/craft.
• A master’s degree in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering is preferred.
• Working knowledge of ABS NVR preferred.
• Familiarity with Do D/DHS ship construction programs and experience with new ship design and marine system integration required.

Skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point.
• Strong experience with design tools such as Auto CAD and 3D Ship Modelling Software (Ship Constructor, FORAN).
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to process and distill large amounts of data into high-level reports.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present to senior management, employees, government officials, and public stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, lead multi-system integrated teams, and maintain excellent client relationships.

Behavioral Attributes:

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET Security Clearance.
• Demonstrates integrity, adaptability, initiative, and attention to detail.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to work in both office and ship production environments.
• Occasionally required to access shipboard areas, climb, and enter confined spaces.
• Must have adequate vision (close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception).
