Job Summary
Our Director of Med/Surg Services will play a critical role in managing the operational, clinical, and administrative aspects of our 40 bed medical/surgical units to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care and efficient unit functioning.
Compensation: $100,000 - $125,000
Bonus: Annual Performance

1. Operational Management: Overseeing daily operations of the Med/Surg units, including staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation, to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
2. Leadership and Supervision: Leading and managing nursing and support staff within the units, including recruitment, training, performance evaluation and professional development.
3. Quality Assurance: Monitoring and ensuring compliance with healthcare standards, protocols, and regulations. Implementing and overseeing quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and safety.
4. Patient Care: Ensuring high standards of patient care are maintained. Addressing and resolving patient and family concerns or complaints related to care.
5. Budget and Resource Management: Developing and managing budgets for the Med/Surg units, including monitoring expenses and ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
6. Strategic Planning: Developing and implementing strategies to improve patient care, enhance operational efficiency, and meet hospital goals and objectives.
7. Collaboration: Coordinating with other hospital departments, such as pharmacy, laboratory, and radiology, to ensure integrated patient care and smooth operations.
8. Policy and Procedure Development: Creating, updating, and enforcing policies and procedures related to the Med/Surg units to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
9. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensuring adherence to healthcare regulations and safety standards. Identifying and addressing potential risks and implementing corrective actions as needed.
Requirements:

• 3 years of recent hospital acute care Manager level experience.
• Bachelor's Degree.
• Registered Nurse or Advance Nurse Practitioner (Florida).
