Summary of Job Responsibilities for Medical Biller:

• Report directly to the Billing Manager
• Participate in a variety of activities related to billing and collections.
• Oversee patient and insurance billing for the facility.
• Supervise and train all billing personnel.
• Learn and use all aspects of the Billing and Collections modules in the software.
• Review billing requirements prior to claims submission, ensuring all criteria are met.
• Write, maintain, and use policies and procedures for billing and collecting accounts.
• Conduct timely follow-up on accounts receivable, including re-billing insurance companies.
• Ensure patient statements are sent out on time and respond to inquiries regarding insurance and statements.
• Make recommendations to Management for collection and write-offs.
• Assist the authorization department with insurance verification.
• Input patient history and charges if necessary.
• Post receipts, make adjustments, and fill out bank deposits.
• Monitor Infusion accounts receivable closely.
• Produce monthly requested reports.
• Train Front Office personnel.
• Assist with reviewing contracts.
• Order supplies for the Billing Department.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
