Job Summary:
As a General Manager at Hotel Indigo, you will play a pivotal role in leading the hotel team to achieve optimal and sustainable business performance. Your primary responsibility will be to execute robust commercial, operational, and people plans to ensure the overall success and excellence of the hotel.
Job Responsabilities:

• Develop vision and strategic plan for business and align with owner, brand, andmanagement company objectives
• Develop annual hotel budget with supporting commercial focus, resourcing, team development, and capital investment documentation.
• Deliver monthly rolling forecast with supporting insight back up on both risk and opportunity.
• Schedule time effectively around critical business cycles, our execution approach, and our core communications matrix.
• Ensure the appropriate level of leadership/ support is on duty at all times.
• Develop a rolling plan of self-development
• Ensure that the team is scheduled to deliver optimal/ agreed levels of productivity and maintain the purchasing cycle in line with forecasted activity
• Ensure all guest feedback data is reviewed, and followed up and that any action required is committed to by all stakeholders
• Ensure effective communication with the hotel team per the Communications Matrix and owner communication expectations are met.
• Ensure that change initiatives are implemented effectively with high levels of team involvement & engagement
• Ensure appropriate level of contact with key clients / business providers and commercial specialist support staff
• Chair and direct the key communications per the Communications Matrix.
  
• Be visible in the operation / GCE office and Bo H areas at the key times and direct team
  

Supportive Functions

• In addition to the performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive
• functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the particular requirements of the company.
• Provide training to other hotel team members and support the induction of new start HM /GMs at other properties
• Participate in system development projects, quality enhancement pilots etc.
• Participate in specialist team meetings, conference calls, and initiatives instigated by the brand or Management Company.

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree / Higher diploma or equivalent in Hospitality Management
• Significant experience and strong delivery track record in Leadership roles
• Certificated learning in delivering training, coaching and performance management techniques
• Change Management / Personal Effectiveness and Leadership certification and experience.
