Job Overview
We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Substitute Teachers to join our educational team. As a Substitute Teacher, you will play a vital role in maintaining a positive learning environment for students in the absence of their regular classroom teacher. This position requires adaptability, strong communication skills, and a passion for education. You will be responsible for implementing lesson plans, managing classroom behavior, and ensuring that students remain engaged in their learning.
Duties

• Follow lesson plans provided by the regular teacher to ensure continuity of instruction.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a respectful and productive learning environment.
• Communicate clearly with students to facilitate understanding of lesson content.
• Supervise students during class activities and transitions to ensure safety and compliance with school policies.
• Provide support to students with diverse learning needs, including those in special education programs.
• Engage with students in a manner that fosters their social and emotional development.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance and any incidents that occur during the class period.

Requirements

• Experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is preferred.
• Strong classroom management skills to maintain order and focus among students.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents.
• Experience in tutoring or providing literacy education is a plus.
• Familiarity with behavior management techniques to support student engagement.
• Background in special education is advantageous but not mandatory.
• A commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment for all students.

Pay: $13.00 - $14.50 per hour
