Job Title: Surface and Cleaning Technician

About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated Surface and Cleaning Technician to join our Grounds department. You will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and aesthetic appeal of the high-rise condominium complex's common areas. The ideal candidate will ensure that all common areas, including exterior corridors, pool decks, and the tiki area, are pristine and well-maintained.
Responsibilities (R2A2 Framework):
Responsibility:

• Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of all common areas, including lobbies, hallways, stairwells, fitness centers, meeting spaces, and other amenities.
• Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal.
• Pressure wash pool decks, the tiki area, and other outdoor surfaces to maintain a clean and inviting environment.
• Use a floor cleaning machine to clean exterior corridors and other hard surfaces.
• Ensure outdoor areas, including landscaped areas, walkways, and entrances, are kept clean and well-maintained.
• Conduct regular inspections of common areas to identify and address cleanliness and maintenance issues.
• Assist in basic landscaping tasks such as watering plants, trimming bushes, and maintaining flower beds.
• Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities and report any issues to management.

Authority:

• Authorize minor cleaning and maintenance activities within the scope of the role.
• Coordinate with external cleaning contractors for specialized cleaning tasks, ensuring compliance with condominium standards and policies.
• Make decisions regarding the prioritization of cleaning tasks based on urgency and impact on residents.

Accountability:

• Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard, minimizing disruption to residents.
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for all staff and guests.
• Provide regular updates and reports on cleaning activities to the Community Association Manager (CAM).

Assistance:

• Work collaboratively with the on-site management team and other maintenance staff.
• Assist in training new cleaning staff on cleaning protocols and safety procedures.
• Provide support during emergencies and ensure quick resolution of cleanliness issues.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, and cleaning, with specific experience in high-rise buildings preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, including the use of pressure washers and floor cleaning machines.
• Experience in condominium or similar property maintenance is a plus.
• Good physical condition and strength with the ability to work in various environments and conditions.
• A diploma from a trade school or successful completion of an apprenticeship is preferred.
• Knowledge of Outlook, Office, and My Green Condo is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with residents and management.

Schedule:

• 8-hour shifts with flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
