A Material Management/Shipping/Receiving Clerk is responsible for all incoming and outgoing material, hardware, supplies and finished parts at Maritech. Performs all work per procedures and work instructions in accordance with our QMS as well as industry best practices.

• Responsible for completing all assigned work with a high degree of quality and professionalism.

• Preferred experience related to shipping/receiving, inventory management.

• Ability to be forklift certified

• Driver’s License in good standing

• Must be able to obtain security

Job Requirements:

• Material Management: Ensure materials at Maritech are issued and inventoried per documented procedures. Duties include but are not limited to:

oAssigning Raw Material ID’s, ensuring material is properly labeled before, during and after operations where material is being issued.
oEnsuring material issued forms are processed daily to help keep inventory and job costs accurate.
oCompleting all “Material Issue” operations accurately and timely and documenting all required traceability information in the traveler and Job Boss as required.
oStocking finished parts and issuing/shipping finished parts to work orders as needed.
oCycle counts for completed parts, customer furnished sample parts, and leading raw material cycle count efforts. (Frequency to be determined but at least quarterly to begin with.)
oKitting and managing details and sub assembly parts/hardware for assembly jobs.
oResponsible for managing shop supplies and coordinating with office personnel when supplies are low (paper towels/shop towels/shipping supplies, etc.)
oHelp with the movement and staging of parts from operation to operation.
oCoordinate with shopfloor/purchasing/leadership team on raw material/hardware needs.
oAssisting with MSC vending machine project ongoing support.

• Shipping Duties: Responsible for shipping material/parts, to include coordinating labeling, pack lists, shipping documentation, drop offs, etc. with office team. Duties include but are not limited to:

oPackage and label shipments per internal procedures, military specifications, industry best practices, work order operations and drawing/PO requirements.
oDeliveries/pick-ups for all local customers
oLoad freight deliveries onto trucks as needed, ensuring all requirement paperwork is completed and retained.
oDropoff to UPS/Fed Ex as needed for rush shipments

• Receiving Duties: Responsible for receiving raw material, parts and hardware to include receiving in Job Boss, documenting on Receiving Inspection Log, proper labeling on received items, staging incoming receipts in proper location, and coordinating with office on arrival of materials and parts.

oDocumenting any nonconformances per procedures, tagging parts and placing in bond cage, taking pictures, and coordinating with supplier/vendors.
oEnsuring material issue operations are completing required forms to track material usage and return to keep inventory accurate.
oEnsuring certificates of conformance are scanned to the proper location as they are received.
oUnload all incoming freight

• Expediter Duties:

oManages the movement and staging of parts from operation to operation and between buildings.
oAssists with prestaging of raw material and machine tools for CNC operations
oLocate lost or missing work orders.
oReturn of excess material

• Physical:

oBody positions: Standing, sitting, kneeling, lifting 50+ lbs.
oBody movements: Maneuverability throughout facility, working on a ladder.
oBody Senses: Sight and touch for safety. Ability to read drawings, instruction manuals and machine readouts and dials. Able to hear machine noises to diagnose or monitor processes and communicate with others in the company.

• Mental: Mathematics: Addition, subtraction, fractions, and decimals. The ability to read a tape measure, scale, micrometer, dial caliper and any other measuring device required in the machinists’ trade.

• Language: This position requires the ability to read, write and speak English to effectively communicate with supervisor, co-workers, customers, and vendors.

• Reasoning: Being able to determine the importance of data and how it may (or may not) apply to Maritech’s business. Must be able to determine the most efficient, cost-effective way to inventory and package/ship items.

• Working Conditions: Work will be primarily performed in a warehouse environment. Some local travel may be required for local customer pickups/deliveries.
