We are looking for an Accounting Manager for a stockbroking firm in the Philippines.
The ideal candidate will have an experience working in a stockbroking industry in the Philippines. The position will report to the Chief Financial Officer and is an individual contributor role.
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Oversees the preparation and accuracy of financial statements and maintains comprehensive books and records, including Bank Reconciliation Reports, Trial Balance, subsidiary ledgers, and supporting documents.
2. Is responsible for reviewing financial operations and formulating policies to ensure compliance with PSE, SEC, CMIC, Anti-Money Laundering Act rules, and internal regulations.
3. Monitors and ensures the accurate and timely preparation and submission of the following:
A. Stock position reconciliation to verify all stock positions are accurately reconciled.
B. Risk-Based Capital Adequacy Ratio Report to ensure the firm's capital adequacy ratios are accurately reported and meet regulatory requirements.
C. Net Liquid Capital Requirement to confirm that the firm always maintains the necessary net liquid capital levels.
D. Aggregate Indebtedness compliance to ensure the firm's aggregate indebtedness remains within the permissible limits set by regulatory standards and rulings.
E. Other securities-related reports such as, but not limited to, Blotter records, Customer ledgers, Detailed Collateral Valuation Schedule, Records of Cash and Margin Accounts.
4. Assists with Audit, Inspection, and Investigation by authority body.
5. Stays updated with changes in laws, regulations, and standards affecting the brokerage industry.
6. Prepares and oversees budgets, including control and analysis, to ensure financial planning aligns with company goals.
7. Reviews tax matters, particularly those related to securities, to ensure compliance and accuracy.
8. Performs any other task that may be assigned from time to time that will support the goals of the organization.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or any related course (CPA is an advantage)
2. Minimum three years of experience in accounting of Stockbroking firm
3. With extensive understanding of Corporate Governance Requirements and principles of risk management and compliance principle
4. Updated with changes in laws, regulations, and standards affecting the brokerage industry.
5. With sound Understanding of Regulatory Guidelines and Security Policies
6. With excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
7. With good working ethics, is organized and sensitive to deadlines
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Php80,000.00 - Php150,000.00 per month
Schedule:

• 8 hour shift

Supplemental Pay:

• 13th month salary
