BROAD SCOPE

• Responsible for the evaluation of cost proposal of prospective suppliers and subcontractors for all ongoing and proposed project taking.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develops and executes logistics service provider bidding schedule, implements sourcing strategy and procedures.
• Acquires resources for required service scope and conditions from stakeholders prior to bidding to set best fitting parameter and source the solution accordingly.
• Work on the buying strategy with overall volumes locally and globally through cooperation with RHQ & HQ or other SDS subsidiaries to provide competitive buying rate to existing and potential businesses.
• Develops and maintains partnership with liners including sea and air and a pool of qualified local service providers.
• Responsible for the negotiation and evaluations with suppliers on a regular basis and on a strategic level.
• Set a cost saving goal on yearly, quarterly and project basis and evaluate and monitor achievement.
• Coordinates both offsite and onsite procurement activities for new projects or businesses.
• Interface as required/needed to coordinate with project director, commodity leaders and supplier quality teams.

REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION / QUALIFICATION:

• BS/MA degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Analytics or any other related courses

EXPERIENCE:

• At least 8 year(s) of working experience in Supply Chain (preferably in Procurement) is required.
• Preferred experience in international Freight Forwarding Company handling Import and Export.
• Strong network with international carriers and local service providers.
• Promotion history in renowned global companies (e.g. DHL, K+N, DVS Panalpina, CH Robinson, Kintetsu Express) will be preferred.

• Excellent problem-solving and fast decision making.
• Keen to details and can work under pressure with less supervision.
• Strong negotiating skill and Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Proficient in mathematics and strong analytical skill.
• At least Intermediate Excel Skills for Data Analysis.
