POSITION PURPOSE
Responsible in ensuring the implementation and continual improvement of Company’s Procurement procedures. Manages the performance of Buyer by coaching, mentoring and providing guidance and knowledge in supplier selection, quote evaluation and contracting including Supply Management and Development.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
1. Leads and applies Commodity Management thru Spend Analysis to identify critical commodities and doing market analysis to determine market cost drivers and risk. Understands key market players and demand to be able to develop appropriate purchasing category strategies.
2. Chairs Major Negotiations and secures beneficial terms and conditions. Safeguards or minimizes company risk by seeking legal support and thorough understanding and review of the contracted work.
3. Conducts pre-order meeting with Project Management Team. Supervises and validates the preparation of Subcontract Agreement.
4. Resolves and manages service and material issues affecting timely completion of project or orders in a timely and appropriate manner.
5. Ensures compliance to all company procedures and initiate process improvement based on learning derive from day-to-day operation, benchmarking, training, supplier, academe and partner organization collaborations.
6. Provides strategic supplier inputs and develops supply base to efficiently support tender and timely project bid submission.
7. Leads supplier Categorization to support vendor audit, Supplier Development and Performance Measure.
8. Tabulates and evaluates award criteria on proposals for services and materials required by the project.
9. Manages Operational Procurement issues i.e. Supplier accreditation, deliveries, Payments, QESH, SAP, Acumatica
10. Supports other departments by providing inputs and resources to achieve company objectives.
11. Perform all task assigned by superior from time to time.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
· Candidate must have at least Bachelor's/College Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Business Administration.
EXPERIENCE:
· Proven experience managing supply chain operations
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:
· Knowledgeable in supply chain management software and tools, including SAP and/or Acumatica.
· In-depth knowledge of preparing and reviewing contracts, invoicing and negotiation terms.
SKILLS/ABILITIES:
· Talent in negotiations and networking
· Good knowledge of supplier or third-party management software
· Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers
· Experience in collecting and analyzing data
· Strong leadership capabilities
