Position Overview:
We are seeking for a skilled and customer-oriented individual to fill the position of Cashier/Server at our pizza restaurant. As a key member of our team, you will primarily be responsible for handling customer orders, processing payments, and ensuring a smooth and enjoyable dining experience. You will interact directly with customers, take their orders, and deliver food while providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role, possess strong communication skills, and excel in a fast-paced environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers in a friendly manner, promptly taking food and drink orders, and ensuring their needs are met throughout their visit.
2. Operate the cash register to process customer's orders accurately, collect payments, and provide correct change.
3. Maintain a clean and organized cashier station, including ensuring the proper functioning of cash registers, credit card machines, and payment processing systems.
4. Answer customer inquiries regarding menu items, promotions, and ingredients, demonstrating good knowledge of the restaurant's offerings to provide accurate information.
5. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure accurate and timely order preparation and delivery.
6. Prepare drinks, desserts, and other items as requested by customers.
7. Efficiently pack take-out orders, double-checking items to ensure accuracy and completeness.
8. Monitor and manage seating availability, waiting lists, and customer flow during peak hours.
9. Ensure tables and dining areas are clean, presentable, and properly set-up before and after each customer's visit.
10. Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following health and safety guidelines and procedures.
11. Handle customer complaints or concerns efficiently and escalate complex issues to the restaurant manager when necessary.
12. Assist with cleaning and restocking of beverage supplies and removing trash from dining areas.
Requirements:
1. College Student / College .
2. Proven experience as a cashier or server in a restaurant or similar establishment is preferred.
3. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong customer relationships.
4. Ability to work well under pressure and in a high-energy atmosphere.
5. Strong attention to detail and accuracy during order-taking and cash handling processes.
6. Basic math skills with the ability to perform calculations quickly and accurately.
7. Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
8. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, lift and carry up to 25 pounds, and endure physical tasks involved in the restaurant's day-to-day operation.
9. Flexibility to work during evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
