Customer Service Representative (Healthcare)

Key Responsibilities:
● Insurance Eligibility Checks: Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits before appointments or treatments. Communicate with insurance companies to confirm eligibility, coverage details, and pre-authorization requirements.
● Claims Submission: Assist in the preparation and submission of insurance claims, ensuring all necessary documentation is included and accurately filled out.
● Claims Tracing: Track submitted claims and follow up with insurance companies to resolve any issues related to denied or delayed claims.
● Data Entry: Accurately enter patient and billing information into the medical billing software system. Maintain up-to-date records and documentation.
● Patient Communication: Assist with patient inquiries regarding billing issues, insurance coverage, and payment options. Provide clear and professional communication to resolve any concerns.
● Collaboration: Work closely with other members of the billing department, front office staff, and healthcare providers to ensure accurate billing processes and smooth workflow.
● Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, and maintain the confidentiality of patient information.
Qualifications:
Experience in the U.S. healthcare industry, familiarity with insurance terms, customer service skills, basic computer skills. Preferred: Verification of benefits and/or insurance claims experience
