Overview:

URC is implementing a five-year TB Luzon Activity in the Philippines. USAID’s TB Luzon Activity will propel the country toward achieving the 95-95-95+ global 2030 TB targets. The TB Luzon Activity is designed to empower local counterparts, spur local innovations, and scale up TB screening, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment. This will be achieved by bridging local success with global perspectives, promoting people-centered care, expanding quality services, integrating smart technology, and strengthening data-driven decision-making. Expanding evidence-based TB services coupled with end-to-end data visibility will empower national, regional, and local decision-makers to use real-time data for informed decision-making, strengthening adaptive management and learning.

Roles and Responsibilities:

The Driver will be responsible for the following activities:
Drive project vehicle as assigned and/or pre-approved by supervisor
Responsible for maintaining the vehicle in perfect running condition
Maintain a log to record the daily mileage, consumption of fuel and routine service check-ups after the prescribed mileage.
Maintain a logbook for the vehicle and ensure that trips are registered and initialed by the concerned passengers.
Ensure passengers safety and report any violation/accident immediately to your supervisor
Conduct basic maintenance check-up, washing the vehicle, check oil, radiator, fan belt, air filter, wipers, tires and signal lights
Inform the staff/supervisor ahead of schedule if there are major repairs to be done either electrical or mechanical
In case there is no assignment, administrative assistant in the day-to-day activities like courier of official mail, parcels and documents including the payment of bills, etc.
Whenever available, provide support to the administrative assistant in the day-to-day errands such as photocopying of documents, courier of official mail, parcels and documents including the payment of bills, etc.
Assist in local purchases of pantry supplies, office supplies, etc.
Carry our any other relevant tasks as required and mutually agreed with the supervisor

Required Experience & Qualifications:

Highschool diploma or relevant certifications
Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience as Driver;
Possession of Professional Driver’s License
Demonstrate willingness to work with others in an interactive team setting;
Able to write and speak in English;

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the Philippines.
