About the Internship:
The goal of a finance internship is to provide students with the opportunity to gain practical experience in the field of finance and learn about different career paths.
Job Description:
- Data Entry and Processing: Entering financial data into accounting software, spreadsheets, and other systems. This might involve data from invoices, bank statements, or expense reports.
- Financial Reporting: Assisting with the preparation of financial statements, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. This may involve formatting reports, gathering data, and performing calculations.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable: Helping with tasks related to paying bills and collecting payments from customers. This could include tasks like sending invoices, processing payments, and reconciling accounts.
- Administrative Tasks: Performing general administrative tasks, such as filing, answering phones, and scheduling meetings.
Finance interns may also have the opportunity to:
1. Assist with audits: This could involve helping to prepare for audits by gathering documentation and answering questions from auditors.
2. Conduct research: Interns may be asked to research financial topics, such as industry trends or potential investment opportunities.
