JOB DESCRIPTION :
General Accounting

• Accurately record and maintain all financial transactions in accordance with Philippine accounting standards (PFRS).
• Prepare and review journal entries, ensuring accuracy and proper authorization.
• Reconcile bank accounts, accounts payable/receivable, and general ledger accounts regularly.
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements.
• Oversee fixed asset management, including recording acquisitions, disposals, and calculating depreciation.

Financial Reporting

• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Ensure compliance with local financial reporting requirements, including BIR (Bureau of Internal Revenue) regulations.
• Assist in the preparation of management reports with financial analysis and insights to guide business decisions.
• Coordinate with external auditors during the audit process, providing necessary documentation and resolving discrepancies.

Budgeting and Forecasting

• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, working closely with department heads to gather necessary data.
• Monitor actual performance against budgets, analyze variances, and recommend corrective actions.
• Support the development of financial forecasts to inform short-term and long-term planning.

Cost Control and Analysis

• Conduct financial analysis to identify opportunities for cost reduction and operational efficiency.
• Review product costing, pricing strategies, and profitability analyses to ensure alignment with financial goals.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist in cost of goods sold calculations, ensuring accurate inventory valuation.

Compliance and Internal Controls

• Ensure all financial operations comply with Philippine laws, tax regulations, and industry standards.
• Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial data integrity.
• Stay updated on changes in Philippine tax laws, accounting standards, and industry best practices.

Taxation

• Prepare and file tax returns in compliance with BIR requirements, including VAT, income tax, and withholding taxes.
• Ensure timely payment of taxes and manage any tax audits or inquiries from the BIR.
• Advise management on tax implications of business decisions and strategies.

Other Duties

• Support the Finance Manager/CFO in various financial projects and initiatives.
• Provide financial guidance and support to other departments as needed.
• Participate in cross-functional teams to support the company’s strategic initiatives.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS :

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA or equivalent professional qualification is strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in an FMCG industry.
• Knowledgeable in AR, AP, Treasury, Inventory, Audit, General Accounting
• In-depth knowledge of Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS) and tax regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Quick Books) and MS Office, particularly Excel.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English and Filipino.
• Willing to initiate and volunteer for tasks as needed

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Php20,000.00 - Php30,000.00 per month
