Job Summary: The General Manager will oversee the overall operations of our logistics and shared service center business in the Philippines. This role requires a strategic leader with a deep understanding of the logistics industry, particularly in freight forwarding, and experience in managing shared service centers. The General Manager will be responsible for driving business growth, ensuring operational efficiency, and maintaining high standards of customer service.
Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement business strategies to achieve company goals and objectives.
• Operational Management: Oversee daily operations of the logistics and shared service center, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
• Financial Oversight: Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial performance to ensure profitability.
• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
• Customer Relations: Maintain and enhance relationships with key clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with local and international regulations and standards.
• Innovation: Identify and implement process improvements and innovative solutions to enhance service delivery.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. MBA preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in the logistics industry, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.
• Proven experience in freight forwarding and managing shared service centers.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of local and international logistics regulations and standards.

Specific Skills and Qualifications:

• Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and successful completion.
• Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation skills to manage contracts and relationships with clients and suppliers.
• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with logistics software and technology, including TMS (Transportation Management Systems) and WMS (Warehouse Management Systems).
• Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of financial statements, budgeting, and financial analysis.
• Crisis Management: Ability to handle and resolve crises effectively, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
• Cultural Competence: Experience working in a multicultural environment and understanding of cultural nuances in business practices.
• Customer Focus: Strong commitment to customer service excellence and ability to anticipate and meet customer needs.
