General Tax Accountant

Hybrid (Hybrid set-up (2-3x a week onsite).
During the probationary period, possible to require onsite reporting 4x a week but after passing probationary, it will be set to 2-3x a week)
Shift: Standard PH time 8AM to 5PM, there might be flexibility in the schedule to cater transactions or meeting with AU, EMEA, or NA shift but as deemed needed only.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Global General Tax Accountant with a solid foundation in global tax compliance and general accounting to join our dynamic Finance team. This role will be responsible for managing and overseeing global tax compliance, planning, and reporting activities while also handling general accounting tasks. This role involves working across multiple jurisdictions not only in the Philippines but also in Australia, North America, Canada, Germany and other EMEA and MAA regions ensuring tax obligations are met efficiently and accurately. In addition, the accountant supports the finance team with tasks such as journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting. A strong knowledge of international tax laws and solid expertise in general accounting practices are essential for this position.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. A CPA, CA, or equivalent qualification is strongly preferred.
- At least 5-7 years of experience in tax accounting, encompassing global tax compliance and general accounting.
- Experience in a public accounting firm or a multinational corporation is advantageous.
- A solid understanding of global tax regulations, including corporate income tax, VAT/GST, withholding taxes, transfer pricing, and tax treaties.
- Proficient in general accounting principles, financial reporting, and month-end close procedures. Familiarity with GAAP or IFRS is crucial.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex tax legislation and financial data.
- Experience with accounting and tax software such as SAP and Netsuite. Advanced proficiency in MS Excel is required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, capable of clearly conveying tax and accounting concepts to non-experts.
- A high degree of accuracy and meticulous attention to detail in both tax compliance and general accounting tasks.
- Experience in a global, multi-currency environment is preferred.
- Have knowledge of AASB15 and AASB16 is preferred.
- Flexibility or dynamic person. With positive attitude/willingness when it comes to a very demanding environment in terms of quality and time-bound requirements
Pay: Up to Php60,000.00 per month
Schedule:
- Day shift
- 13th month salary
