IT Security Analyst

As a member of the Security Operations team, the Security Analyst supports our production environment, protecting it from the latest information security threats. The Security Analyst is responsible for developing, improving and executing documented cyber threat management processes. The Security Analyst will focus on real-time security events analysis to protect the organization's electronic assets. The candidate is experienced with researching the latest security threats and vulnerabilities, identifies weaknesses and exposures. Must be able to perform strong hands-on support and management for a wide range of security technologies including, but not limited to: SIEM, Endpoint Protection products, malware analysis and protection, data loss prevention and vulnerability scanners. The candidate has at least 2 to 3 years of experience in cyber security. Strong self-directed work habits, demonstrating initiative, drive, creativity, self-assurance, professionalism and a passion for security is also important. Excellent teamwork skills are necessary.

Mon-Fri 9pm-6am (PH Time)

Pay: Php130,000.00 per month

Job Responsibilities:
- Review cybersecurity events from the incident response queue
- Review established security checklists
- Create actionable items out of threat intelligence feeds
- Perform research and data analysis of possible security events and proactively identify and communicate status
- Document and investigate security incidents according to the security incident response policy
- Resolve service impacting events, restore service and provide root cause analysis
- Resolve fault conditions on security systems
- Ensure platform accessibility, software revisions and best practices are maintained
- Prepare ad-hoc analysis and reports as needed
- Performs other duties as necessary.
- Represents the Company in a professional manner at all times.
- Consistently maintains a professional courteous attitude when dealing with residents, coworkers and the general public.
- 3 to 4 years of IT experience
- 2 to 3 years of experience as an Incident Responder and Security Operations
- Splunk experience prefered
- Exposure to Digital Forensics Incident Response
- Exposure to Threat Hunting methodologies
- Minimum 4 years of experience in IP addressing and subnetting, routing protocols, VPN concepts, VLAN configuration and concepts and L2/L3 switching technologies.
- Candidates must possess knowledge of DMZ architectures.
- Strong layer 2 to layer 7 troubleshooting experience
- Exposure to major system applications and databases, Linux and Windows experience a plus
