Loan Processor (AU Client)

Job requirements:

3+ years of experience in loan processing, mortgage, or financial services, ideally within the Australian market.
Strong understanding of loan application processes, documentation requirements, and compliance standards.
Familiarity with loan refixing processes is a plus.
Preferred experience dealing with Australian banks and lending companies, ensuring smooth communication and understanding of local regulations.
Must have experience using loan processing apps such as Mercury and Apply Online.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to explain loan terms and processes clearly and professionally to clients.
High attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
Ensures accuracy in document preparation, compliance with regulations, and timely submission of loan applications.
Experience working as a loan processor, in brokerage, or a similar role, with a focus on Australian clients.

Core responsibilities:

Collect, review, and verify loan applications and supporting documentation from clients.
Ensure all loan applications comply with company policies, industry regulations, and lender requirements.
Communicate with borrowers to clarify discrepancies, request additional information, and provide updates on the status of their application.
Manage the loan refixing process, including interest rate adjustments and term renewals.
Liaise with lenders and clients to ensure smooth loan refixing procedures.
Monitor and notify clients of upcoming refix opportunities and interest rate changes, providing guidance on options.
Prepare loan application packages and submit them to lenders for approval.
Ensure all documentation is accurate, complete, and submitted within specified timelines.
Track the status of each loan application and follow up with lenders as needed to ensure timely processing.
Perform administrative duties related to loan processing, including filing, data entry, and updating client records.
Handle ad-hoc tasks and special projects as needed to support the loan processing team.
