The MEPF Manager oversees the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems in construction projects. This role ensures that all systems are designed, installed, and maintained to meet regulatory standards and project specifications.
Key Responsibilities: Project Management:
1. Lead and manage MEPF projects from design through completion.
2. Coordinate with project managers, architects, and engineers to integrate MEPF systems into overall project plans.
3. Design and Planning: Review and approve MEPF designs, ensuring compliance with local codes and regulations.
4. Conduct feasibility studies and provide technical input during the design phase.
5. Installation Oversight: Supervise MEPF installations on-site, ensuring work is completed to specifications and quality standards.
6. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during installation.
Team Leadership:
1. Manage and mentor a team of MEPF engineers and technicians.
2. Foster a collaborative environment to ensure effective communication and teamwork. Budget Management:
Prepare and manage budgets for MEPF projects, ensuring cost-effective solutions. Monitor expenses and report on financial performance.
Compliance and Safety:
Ensure all MEPF work complies with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain safety standards.
Client Interaction: Liaise with clients to understand their requirements and provide updates on project progress.
Address any concerns or feedback promptly.
Educational Background:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field from a reputable university.
• A master's degree or additional certifications in project management or specialized MEPF areas (e.g., HVAC design, fire protection) is a plus.

Licensing:

• Professional Engineer (PE) license from the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) in the Philippines is usually required.

Work Experience:

• At least 10 years of experience in MEPF project management within the construction industry, with a focus on large-scale projects.
• Experience in leading cross-functional teams and coordinating with various stakeholders, including architects, contractors, and clients.

Technical Skills:

• Comprehensive knowledge of MEPF systems, design standards, and relevant codes and regulations (e.g., Philippine National Standards).
• Proficiency in using project management software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project) and engineering design tools (e.g., Auto CAD, Revit).
• Strong understanding of construction methods, cost estimation, and budget management.

Competencies:

• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and develop junior engineers and technicians.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
• Problem-solving skills to identify and resolve technical issues that arise during project execution.

• Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations relevant to MEPF work, with a commitment to maintaining safety standards on-site.
