Duties and Responsibilities
Network Equipment Operation & Technical Support Skills
· Ensure that all on site physical network equipment such as core switches, hubs, controllers, and wireless devices are in in its full operational status, performing health check, adjustment, repair and monitoring.
· Creates network policy, SSi D, VLAN, WAN, VPN, Security layer hardening, VOi P, Telephony settings based on infrastructure designed in collaboration with head of I.T and vendor partners
Technical Analysis & Reporting
· Provide advisory, technical recommendations, core technical assistance to end users; create reports,
· Performs routine assessment of the network health status, share any issues to team, inform and escalate to Management, writes incident management, advisory, product assessment;
· Operates, setup and archives Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) records requests endorsed and approved by the General Service Office.
Project Management and Staff Supervision
· Creates and develops Terms of References (TOR) for IT infrastructure projects, participates in Technical Working Group for all IT related projects initiated by other offices, Review and make recommendations on appropriate technology requirements
Qualifications/Minimum Education:
· Bachelor’s degree holder in Computer Science/Engineering, MIS, IT related field or equivalent experience
· 2-5 years of professional work focusing network operations center, service desk and creating network firewall settings, rules and policy
· Ensure that all wireless access and telephones are operational and updated,
· Experienced with hyper converged, and virtualization using HP, Nutanix, VM ware or Hyper-Vs;
· Knowledgeable & familiar in cisco and other switch devices
