Job Type: Full-time
About this role
- Tax knowledge including preparation of tax returns, activity statements, latest New Zealand tax rules
- Preparation of work papers and reconciliation to financial statement stage
- Preparation of financial statements, income tax returns and other lodgments for companies, partnerships, trusts and a range of individual bussinesses.
- Assist with general bookkeeping duties
- Assist clients with tax planning, GST, bookkeeping;
- Business advisory projects such as budgets, cashflows, management reporting;
- Ensure all documentation including work papers and client files are maintained in line with Findex Group compliance requirements
- Accounting degree or a related degree with a major in accounting.
- Completed or working towards completion of CA / CPA.
- At least 3-4 years accounting & taxation experiences within New Zealand Basic understanding of New Zealand and/or taxation legislation, including but not limited to GST, FBT, Companies Act
- Ability to be able to identify issues and communicate effectively and efficiently.
- Experience with MYOB, Xero, Reckon, Quickbooks, Excel
- Experience with Reckon APS program (desirable)
- Proficient English writing and verbal skills
- Excellent communication skills with strong relationship and stakeholder management
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise your workload
- Collaborative, team player who understands the importance of building strong internal relationships across the wider Findex business.
