Qualifications:
Contract length: 12 months
Application Question(s):
- 5+ years of hands-on experience as an ORACLE Database Administrator
- Relevant experience supporting/administering Oracle Golden Gate
- Oracle Cloud Experience and ATP Autonomous DBaa S, preferred
- Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization
- Experience in backup and restore (including redirected restoration)
- Experience in High Availability SQL Server solutions including Always On Availability Group, Log Shipping, Replication, RAC, Standby Database.
- Working experience with Postgres, MS SQL Server, UNIX shell scripting, a plus
- Solid foundation in Azure and GCP platforms
- Strong understanding of ITIL service support and service delivery.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Effective collaboration skills when working with Application teams, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Vendor and internal stakeholders to drive system solutions.
- Excellent oral and written skills with the ability to interact with Senior Management and Business, as needed.
- Ability to drive deliverables from initiation to completion with strong sense of ownership regarding work product quality and outcomes.
- Excellent customer service skills, with a commitment to resolving customer issues promptly.
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, i.e. US day shift on rotating basis, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Manage Oracle databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to production systems.
- Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, high-availability and security.
- Provide support to application teams including database connectivity, index creation, implementation of data manipulation (DDL, DML, DCL) and Data migration.
- Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement.
- Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes.
- Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.
- Backup and Restore database using native and third-party tools
- Provide performance monitoring during all phases of the Application’s development lifecycle.
- Provide database and SQL Tuning expertise through recommendation to application developers, vendors and other core Application teams.
