Senior Quality Assurance Analyst (Philippines)
The QA department champions the overall quality and standards of the company’s products and services.
As a SR QA, your role will be key in maintaining the foundation for quality across the entire repertoire of products the company produces. A meticulous approach to auditing the quality standards is required for success in this role.
A passion for gaming and testing methodologies is necessary in order to have a full grasp of the company’s vision and goals. You will mostly be working with mobile and web technologies, so a deep familiarity with those systems will be crucial for your success.
Responsibilities:
Test documentation

• Develop comprehensive test documentation.
• Create test cases and organize test suites according to project requirements.
• Establish and maintain standards, translating them into test cases.
• Ensure meticulous attention to project documentation, covering testing, test results, contingency plans, and project tasks and bugs.
• Take ownership of QA-related tasks within your assigned project.

Standardization

• Champion the QA standards and the company vision in all processes and output
• Contribute actively to the enhancement and maintenance of existing standards and practices.
• Serve as an example for quality and drive process optimization.

Execution

• Execute test cases and employ various testing methodologies in a timely manner, aligned with the current milestones of the project.
• Anticipate and prepare contingencies for unexpected obstacles.
• Provide precise and immediate triage for defects and bugs.
• Follow through the defect/bug life cycle into its conclusion (detection->reporting->triage->verification->documentation)

Initiative

• Assume responsibility for the overall quality of your project and proactively enforce established standards.
• Demonstrate initiative in driving continuous quality improvement throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in software testing, specifically for multimedia applications, preferably in the gaming industry.
• Proven track record of at least 3 years in effectively utilizing project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.) and tools (JIRA, Test Rail, standard spreadsheets)
• At least 3 years of practical experience in developing test cases and suites, tailored for different levels of readability based on the target audience.
• 3 years of working experience in testing on native mobile environments and web-based environments.
• Comprehensive understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and familiarity with various life cycle approaches (iterative, incremental, full/partial waterfall, agile, etc.).
• Demonstrated passion for testing, quality assurance (QA), and proficiency in mobile and web technologies.
• Has strong technical writing skills for creating role-agnostic reports and test cases.
• Proactive approach to daily work activities, with the ability to thrive in a remote work environment.
• Adequately equipped and comfortable working remotely, with a high-speed internet connection essential for file sharing, collaboration, and day-to-day tasks.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
• Useable experience/knowledge in project management tools, the software development lifecycle, creation and development technologies, and cross-functional collaboration
• Practical experience/knowledge in accurate documentation, real-world testing mindset, software engineering best practices, QA best practices, and common software suites (office tools, Google suite, browsers, emulators, etc.)
• Excited about technology and the frantic and high-speed nature of its growth
• Embraces the concept of "fail fast" and is not afraid of failure, coupled with a mature and flexible outlook.
• Driven to grow and succeed in the field.
