Role: Systems Administrator
Salary: Competitive Basic Salary
Benefits: HMO plus 2 Free Dependents, P1,500 Rice Allowance, Night Differential.
Shift schedule: 5-day work week, 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Philippine Time
Work set up: Work from Office/ Work from Home
Responsibilities / Job Duties
1. UNIX/Linux Environment Management
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot UNIX/Linux-based systems.
- Ensure the availability and stability of these environments.
- Manage and maintain Windows and Linux servers.
- Implement security measures and perform routine updates.
- Administer application stacks like Tomcat, JBoss, Apache, Ruby, and NGINX.
- Optimize performance across these platforms.
- Deploy and manage cloud services, with a preference for experience in Azure.
- Maintain and monitor cloud-based infrastructure.
- Utilize technologies such as VMware and Virtual Box to create and manage virtual environments.
- Implement containerization solutions as needed.
- Set up and manage monitoring systems to track infrastructure performance.
- Perform regular OS patching and maintenance tasks to ensure system integrity.
- Troubleshoot and optimize network performance, with a solid understanding of OSI layers and TCP/IP protocols.
- Ensure network security and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with UNIX/Linux system administration.
- Competence in managing both Windows and Linux servers.
- Experience in administering and optimizing application stacks (Tomcat, JBoss, Apache, Ruby, NGINX).
- Familiarity with cloud services, particularly Azure.
- Expertise in virtualization (VMware, Virtual Box) and containerization technologies.
- Strong networking knowledge, including OSI layers and TCP/IP.
- Proficiency in system monitoring and OS patch management.
