Tax Assistant

  • This position involves assisting in various tax-related activities, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations set by the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), and supporting the overall tax management process for the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Tax Compliance:
  • Assist in the preparation and filing of corporate tax returns, including income tax returns required by the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR).
  • Gather, organize, and analyze financial data and documentation required for tax compliance purposes, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax laws, regulations, and rulings issued by the BIR, and ensure compliance with relevant tax requirements.
  • Assist in responding to tax notices, inquiries, and requests from the BIR or other regulatory authorities.
Tax Reporting:
  • Prepare and maintain tax records, schedules, and reports for internal and external purposes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Assist in preparing financial statements and disclosures related to tax matters for inclusion in annual reports and regulatory filings.
  • Collaborate with accounting and finance teams to reconcile tax accounts and ensure accurate financial reporting in accordance with BIR guidelines.
Tax Audits and Examinations:
  • Assist in coordinating tax audits and examinations conducted by the BIR, providing necessary documentation and support to auditors.
  • Participate in the resolution of tax audit issues and the implementation of corrective actions to address any findings or discrepancies identified by the BIR.
Tax Documentation and Recordkeeping:
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date tax files, records, and documentation in compliance with recordkeeping requirements set by the BIR.
  • Ensure proper documentation of tax positions, elections, and filings for future reference and audit purposes.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in corporate tax compliance, preferably in the real estate industry.
  • Knowledge of Philippine tax laws, regulations, and rulings issued by the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and tax software used for compliance purposes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality in handling sensitive tax information.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Php25,000.00 - Php28,000.00 per month
