Your role
In the role of a Lead Consultant, you will anchor the engagement effort for assignments, all the way from business process consulting and problem definition to solution design, development and deployment. You will be pivotal to problem definition and discovery of the overall solution and guide teams on project processes, deliverables. As a thought leader in your domain, you will be the key advisor to architecture and design reviews. You will anchor business pursuit initiatives, client training, in-house capability building. You will have the opportunity to shape value-adding consulting solutions that enable our clients to meet the changing needs of the global landscape.

Required

• Review and validate high-level design and migration plan
• Create low-level design and detailed migration plan
• Perform end-to-end testing of engineered solutions before deployed in live networks
• Implement/deploy network solutions/services and execution of network changes according to the network engineering plans during nightly change windows
• Provide operational hand-over and support in troubleshooting of network problems
• Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including HW/SW upgrade, patches, hot fixes and security configurations
• Test and certify core network HW&SW
• Participate in POC with vendors
• Provide consultation in network solutions
• Perform third line support and on-call
• Participate in forecast exercise with planning department
• Deep understanding of networking protocols such as ISIS, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, VPNs, Qo S, etc.
• Throughout knowledge of IPv4/v6 migration techniques, policy languages
• Solid understanding of security standards, rules and regulations
• Strong knowledge and proven experience in Cisco/Juniper/Nokia routing/switching technologies
• Experience in Software Defined Networking (SDN)
• Knowledge of Cloud networking
• Knowledge of network scripting / automation (Python, …)
• Good Experience with Unix Systems
• Experience is reverse engineering and troubleshooting
• Ability to perform complex design analysis with a proven track record in problem solving
• Strong overall understanding of the technologies and platforms specific to a large cable and telecommunications operator
• Strong experience in documenting, writing Low Level Designs, guidelines, Visio Diagrams,…
• Good social skills and good communicator
• Great teammate
• Experience in multinational and multicultural environments.
• Independent, confident and project-focused mind-set

Preferred

• One or more relevant certifications such as CCIE, JNCIE, etc.
• Good experience in similar role
• Good experience with complex network designs/architectures
• Proficiency in English both oral and written
