Senior Engineer - Backup

Reporting to the Supervisor – Storage and Backup, the Senior Engineer - Backup will be responsible for leading and assisting in the implementation and support of backup solutions globally. This involves both project and operational support.
Your Day to Day
- As part of a global team you will assist in the implementation, support and development of the global backup solutions.
- Work on implementation projects for new sites or lifecycle management.
- Managing small enhancement projects
- Work out of the Platform Services Backup operational queue
- Assist in the response to priority incidents
- Support backup monitoring and resolving failures.
- Assist in implementing backup automation where possible
- Assist the backup team in generating and verifying that documentations are up to date and assist the team in coaching or documenting where needed
- Performing any other related duties prioritized by the Platform Services Manager.
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience in a complex, global engineering and manufacturing organization
- High level of understanding of Enterprise Backup Solutions
- Experience in project managing small to mid-sized projects
- Experience delivering highly complex, global programs and projects
- Open to travel once or twice a year for projects or team building sessions
- Proficient in Cohesity Backup technology.
