- Support in the development and implementation of HSE policies, procedures, and training programs.
- Participate in risk assessments, identifying risks and potential environmental impacts within the company to ensure an effective level of protection and adequate workplace monitoring.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and prepare detailed reports with recommendations for corrective actions.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety and environment regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of safety and environment inspections, incidents, and training activities.
- Collaborate with first aid, firefighting, and worker evacuation, ensuring measures are in place and responsible personnel are identified, while maintaining contact with external emergency services.
- Provide support during emergency response situations and participate in emergency drills.
- Perform the PPE records and respective needs to purchase, and ensure equipment is in good working condition.
- Participate in periodic communications related to HSE for the legal entities.
- Ensure proper identification, storage, and forwarding of waste to licensed operators, and establish contact with them to guarantee correct implementation.
- Support waste management best practices, ensuring implementation and compliance with all applicable legal requirements.
- Collaborate in all legally required health, safety, and environmental monitoring.
- Stay updated on new regulations and best practices in health, safety, and environmental management.
- Collaborate with other departments to promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
- Degree in Engineering or Management;
- Certificate for Técnico Superior de Segurança e Saúde no Trabalho is mandatory;
- Training in Environmental Management;
- Training in Emergency Plans, preferred;
- Minimum of 3 years’ manufacturing and/or industrial experience in a dedicated health, safety and environment management role;
- Good knowledge of the Portuguese Health, Safety and Environment legislation and regulation;
- Capacity to be steadfast and observing and making observe the health, safety and environment policy;
- Highly capable of multi-tasking, with minimal supervision;
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude;
- Strong proven ability to effectively use Microsoft Office Applications;
- Good level of English, written and oral.
