The Planning Technician's main focus will be to translate the supply chain schedule into the daily manufacturing and cultivation schedules and assist with the Supply Chain Schedule. The Planning Technician will also execute and oversee administrative duties and verify day-to-day operations with the production schedule. The Scheduler must be efficient, organized, and flexible to daily changes and last-minute requests.
Role and Responsabilities
- Transfer the Supply Chain Schedule manufactured items into a daily Manufacturing Schedule with a minimum of 6-8 weeks of advanced planning
- Interface with Manufacturing to identify capacity restraints and adjust the schedule as required
- Assist with applying for Export Permits
- Assist with monitoriztion the status of all import permits
- Perform validation of critical planning documents to ensure accuracy
- Assist with compiling Work Orders
- Identify and assist with the resolution of any process gaps
- Interface with Quality, Inventory, and Shipping to ensure the schedule is met
- Assist in entering purchase order details into the Sales Order Database
- Collaborate with all departments and stakeholders to best meet all customer requirements
- Assist in the development and maintenance of the company MRP
- Other tasks as required
- Assist the Supply Chain Supervisor with the coordination of all activities required to fulfill both national and international orders
- Report all order conflicts, bottlenecks, and potential missed deadlines to the Supply Chain Supervisor
- Assist in requesting Item Code creation, creating BOMs and routings
- Fill in databases for reports (Key Performance Indicators)
- Maintain an extensive database for all orders that are up to date and provides information for analysis and reporting
- Order Processing, Cancellation & Modification
- Update SAGE on all Cultivation processes
- Assist with managing inventory systems within SAGE
- Preparing production schedules and managing data for the Grow Plan tracker
- Participating with Material Requirement Planning
- Maintain confidentiality and attain necessary skills/competencies
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Degree in business, supply chain management, or other related area, preferably
- Experience as a Scheduler will be valued
- Knowledge of MPS/MRP, Demand Flow, JIT, Forecasting, and Inventory Planning
- Experience with software systems
- Team player within cross-functional, multi-disciplined team
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Power BI, Word, and Power Point
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ready and willing to work a flexible schedule
- Strong written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of all departments, both in Portuguese and English
