Responsibilities:

• Team Supervision: Lead, supervise, and coordinate a team of curtain makers to ensure timely and efficient production of curtains, draperies, and other window treatments.
• Production Planning: Plan and organize production schedules to meet deadlines and order specifications. Ensure that all materials and resources are available to complete projects on time.
• Quality Control: Inspect finished curtains to ensure they meet the company’s quality standards in terms of stitching, measurements, fabric handling, and overall finish. Identify and address any defects or inconsistencies.
• Training & Development: Train new and existing employees on various curtain-making techniques, equipment use, and safety procedures. Foster skill development within the team.
• Material Management: Oversee the selection and inventory of fabrics, threads, linings, and hardware. Ensure materials are used efficiently and waste is minimized.
• Workflow Optimization: Streamline the production process to maximize efficiency, ensuring the team follows established workflows and best practices for curtain making.
• Customization & Special Orders: Work closely with the design team and clients to understand specific requirements for custom curtains and ensure they are produced accurately.
• Collaboration: Coordinate with other departments such as design, sales, and installation teams to ensure smooth handovers and timely project completion.
• Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that all sewing machines, cutting tools, and other equipment are well-maintained and in good working condition.
• Safety & Compliance: Enforce safety regulations in the workplace and ensure compliance with company policies. Promote a clean, safe, and organized workshop environment.
• Reporting: Track production metrics such as output, quality, and efficiency. Provide regular updates to senior management and suggest improvements.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience: Proven experience in curtain making, sewing, or textile production, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Technical Knowledge: Expertise in curtain-making techniques, including cutting, sewing, and fitting various types of window treatments (e.g., draperies, blinds, valances, and Roman shades).
• Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and direct a team toward meeting production goals.
• Attention to Detail: High attention to detail, ensuring curtains are produced with precision in terms of measurements, stitching, and design specifications.
• Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills to handle production challenges such as fabric shortages, equipment issues, or team-related problems.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to interact with team members, management, and clients, clearly explaining design and production specifications.
• Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet strict deadlines.
• Creativity: Understanding of design aesthetics and the ability to interpret custom curtain designs from clients and designers.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification or formal training in textiles, fabric work, or curtain making.
• Experience with high-end or custom curtain production.
• Knowledge of computerized sewing machines or automated cutting tools.

Preferred : Qatar driving license
