EMFI Qatar Group is looking for LIFTING SUPERVISOR (KM) with the following qualifications:
Qualification:
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Contract
Pay: From QAR7,000.00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
Qualification:
- High school degree or applicable technical Qualification.
- OSHA / IOSH / NEBOSH safety certification
- Lifting qualification (LOREL OR LEEA) or equivalent.
- Heavy/Light Vehicle Driving License.
- Basic Language Skills
- More than 2 years of experience in a similar role
- Regular Offsite Work (office): 0% to 25%
- Travel between venues/sites/offices during office hours up to 75%
- Supervise as per Site Drawings, Qualifications, Certifications, Lift Criteria, Lift plan documents, Crane lift worksheets, Crane Safety Checklists, Outrigger Blocking Selections and area compaction test date.
- Supervise and coordinate all lifting and equipment / material movement activities.
- Supervise health check, maintenance and certification records on all lifting equipment including cranes, cables, slings, chains, hooks, clevises, shackles, lift rings, chain hoists, cable hoists and pins.
- Ensure all workers engaged in lifting operations adhere to all lifting policies and directives as per local and international applicable laws and Company Policies.
- Ensure all rigging crew are qualified to operate and conduct rigging and are maintaining their qualification records.
- Ensure compliance with physical pre-inspection performed by all users of all lifting machinery and equipment
- Responsible for Timely renewal of 3rd party certification & lifting/safe awareness training certifications for operators and drivers
- Ensures all personnel engaged in rigging operations wear their required P.P.E.
- Identifies and coordinates crane/crew hiring and scheduling based upon lift requirements.
- Accomplishes other assigned tasks as required by management
- Drives vehicles with capacity of less than three tons to deliver materials, documents or take personnel to and from specified destinations
- Positions ropes to secure cargo for delivery as needed
- Operates vehicle in a safe and proper manner
- Checks vehicle each day before operating it to ensure that all systems are functioning properly
- Completes journey sheets to record destinations, mileage, fuel issues etc.
- Reports any defect in the vehicle immediately to the Transport Coordinator
- Maintains a check on his vehicle for any regular maintenance
- Performs other related duties as needed upon request by immediate supervisor
- Works in cooperation with Quality Assurance and Continual Improvement department on securing and maintaining the ISO 9001:2015 certification
- Carries out and ensures the compliance of all activities within the Transport Section is in-line with Kahramaa’s health and safety regulations
- Defines performance goals at the start of the year in discussion with the reporting manager and ensures that the goals are achieved during the course of the year
- Identifies the training and development requirements for self and agrees on them with the reporting manager to ensure that the required trainings are arranged and attended
- Keeps abreast of professional developments, new techniques and current issues through continued education and professional growth
