PAYROLL ACCOUNTANT

We are seeking a Payroll Accountant with strong accounting and payroll experience to join our finance team. In this role, you will manage payroll accounting processes, ensure the accuracy of payroll records, perform financial account reconciliations, and contribute to the overall financial operations of the company. Key Responsibilities:
  • Payroll Accounting & Administration: Process monthly payroll runs, record employee final settlements, handle salary advances, loans, leave balances, and ensure the accurate disbursement of bonuses and other compensation-related expenses.
  • End-of-Service Benefits (ESB): Manage ESB accounting, including accrual reviews, discounting, and clearing ESB deltas, ensuring accurate reporting of ESB balances in the company’s financial records.
  • General Ledger Reconciliation: Reconcile payroll-related general ledger accounts on a monthly basis, ensuring that payroll entries are accurate and aligned with company policies. Perform regular audits and analyses to guarantee financial accuracy.
  • Expense and Cash Forecasting: Track and record employee expense claims, such as medical, travel, and training expenses. Ensure proper posting of all corporate credit card and petty cash transactions to relevant ledger accounts.
  • SAP Support & Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot payroll-related issues in both the HR and FI modules of SAP, resolving discrepancies to ensure smooth payroll processing and accurate financial reporting.
  • Payroll Accruals & Reporting: Review payroll accruals each month and assess whether any additional accruals are necessary. Prepare reports for management to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Payroll Compliance & Process Improvement: Ensure payroll processes comply with internal controls and regulatory requirements. Evaluate current payroll procedures and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Employee Inquiries & Discrepancy Resolution: Address payroll-related inquiries from employees and resolve any discrepancies or issues, ensuring effective communication and timely resolution.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in payroll accounting, finance, or a related field, with a strong understanding of payroll processing and accounting systems.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in SAP (HR and FI modules) and other accounting or business software applications. Strong knowledge of payroll accounting practices and financial reporting tools.
  • Communication Skills: Fluent in written and spoken English, with excellent communication skills to interact with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail, particularly when handling sensitive payroll information. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Confidentiality & Integrity: Ability to manage confidential information with the highest level of integrity and professionalism.
  • Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively with HR, finance, and other departments to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
  • Must be locally available in Qatar with valid QID
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: QAR6,000.00 - QAR7,000.00 per month
