Role Overview
As an educator, your role will be to promote independent and self-regulated learning while providing a quality education that will prepare students to work in a global setting at the highest international standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality physical education lessons, promoting healthy lifestyles, and ensuring the physical development of students in line with international standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Physical Education lessons that meet the school's curriculum requirements and promote physical well-being.
- Develop fitness programs that foster teamwork, coordination, and physical fitness in students across various age groups (years 4 to 9).
- Organize and supervise sports activities, competitions, and events.
- Supervision of Intra-School Competitions, which may occasionally take place in the evenings or at weekends. This role involves organizing the events, overseeing student participation, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, and promoting a positive ethos of sportsmanship. Flexibility in availability is essential to provide students with valuable and well-structured competitive experiences.
- Foster a positive environment where all students are encouraged to participate and enjoy physical activities.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to students and parents to support their development.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all students during Physical Education lessons and extracurricular sports activities.
- Collaborate with school staff to integrate health and fitness initiatives into the broader school culture.
- Promote the importance of physical activity in everyday life and encourage students to adopt healthy lifestyle habits.
- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or related field.
- A Master’s degree is a plus
- A teaching certification is a must (e.g., International Teaching License, QTS, or a teaching diploma/certificate from an accredited institution).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience teaching Physical Education, preferably in an international school environment.
- Proven experience with the British, IB, or CIE curriculum is required.
- Experience in organizing and supervising sports events and activities.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire students and foster a positive, energetic learning environment.
