We are looking for an Assistant Manager, Human Resources to join our team!
As an Assistant Manager, Human Resources , we rely on you to:
Key Responsibilities:
Staff Welfare & Recreation
Responsible for annual staff welfare budgeting and expenditure.
Maintains and enhances the staff welfare to ensure high morale and amongst staff members.
Observes the highest hygiene standards in staff back of house area and other facilities are in proper order (Staff Café, Locker, Entrance, Corridors)
Ensures that staff transport is provided efficiently.
Ensures that foreign staff living accommodation is updated with MOM timely and ensures the authenticity of their living location and condition.
Plans and operationalize staff activities that can bolster engagement and sense of community that will foster stronger engagement at work.
Responsible for maintaining up to date employee benefits program (ie Corporate discounts, Complimentary room nights)
Industrial Relations & Disciplinary
Foster and enhances harmonious employee relations to increase efficiency and to boost staff morale.
Maintains active communications and relations with staff engagement committee and union.
Counsels employees on a job-related issues and where necessary of a personal nature
Handle employee grievances and work with Division Heads on related issues
Maintains an up-to-date record on Disciplinary records.
To advise and assist employees and department heads regarding Statutory, Human Resources policies and company practices (Code of conduct & Employment of Relatives)
Act to facilitate resolution of employee relations issues
Actively promotes staff social, CSR and sports events (internal / external).
Actively promotes staff social and sports events
Communication
Maintains effective internal communication with Department Heads, Supervisors and all employees
Staying in touch with the ground and having the depth of understanding of the ground and its sentiments towards staff policy matters and HR matters.
Handling staff grievances and disciplinary issues.
Counsel employees on job-related issues and where necessary on issues of personal nature.
Manage cross department dialogues.
Ensures that staff notice boards are updated.
Staff Recognition, Incentive or Motivational Schemes
Implement staff motivation, recognition and incentive programmes for the Hotel.
Administers the following schemes:
Excellent Service Awards (EXSA)
Long Service Awards
OHS and Environmental Concerns
Recommend measures to help ensure the safety of colleagues from potentially hazardous work methods, processes, or materials.
Advise communities or institutions regarding health or safety issues.
Maintain or update medical/ emergency response plans or procedures.
Develop or maintain medical monitoring programs for employees
