Job Description

AVPN is seeking a full-time Insights Intern preferably based in Singapore, with flexibility to work from home. The Insights Intern will be working alongside the Insights and the Knowledge team, providing assistance with research projects and impact stories that track social investment trends and best practices in Asia. The intern will have the opportunity to work on multiple projects and develop writing and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development of articles, reports, newsletters, podcasts, and media contents
• Synthesise insights effectively and creatively for different platforms and audience profiles
• Conduct secondary research of academic and non-academic sources, including journal articles, publications, websites and others
• Support primary research activities
• Translate written content into visual content and assets
• Contribute to the preparation of various convenings and AVPN signature event
• Other ad hoc projects related to AVPN’s learning platform

Requirements

• Strong written and spoken English
• Strong interest in the social sector
• Willingness to learn and be open-minded
• Ability to support multiple projects and work independently
• Some qualitative and quantitative research or consulting experience
• Candidates with experience and interest in podcast production is preferred
• Familiarity and ease in vertical and lateral collaboration with leadership, colleagues and external partners
• Familiarity with data visualisation
• Familiarity with Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides) and graphic design platforms like Canva

Expected Commitment

• Full-time basis [to discuss more flexible working conditions with Reporting Officer]
• A minimum commitment of 12 weeks
• Hybrid working environment, with expectation for candidates to come to the physical office in Singapore 3 days a week.
