Wildlife Nutrition Intern (6 Months Contract)

Mandai Wildlife Group is the steward of Mandai Wildlife Reserve, a unique wildlife and nature destination in Singapore that is home to world-renown wildlife parks which connect visitors to the fascinating world of wildlife. The Group is driving an exciting rejuvenation plan at Mandai Wildlife Reserve, adjacent to Singapore’s Central Catchment Nature Reserve, that will integrate five wildlife parks with distinctive nature-based experiences, green public spaces and an eco-friendly resort.


Main duties and responsibilities:
  • To collate dietary assessment needs for animals under the care of MWG from keepers of all sections
  • To organize meetings with wildlife nutrition consultant and ensure all relevant stakeholders attend the meetings
  • To disseminate dietary plans and solutions to the relevant stakeholders
  • To coordinate the follow-up of dietary plans and solutions with the relevant sections
  • To conduct research and contribute to the scientific output of the wildlife nutrition centre
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in animal science, wildlife biology, zoology, nutrition or a related field
  • Experience in conducting nutritional studies, formulating diets for various species
  • Knowledge of dietary requirements, and nutritional needs of different wildlife species
  • Good interpersonal skill with ability to work well with people with diverse backgrounds
