Junior Project Manager

Methys Consulting is looking for a project manager to join our team based in Century City, Western Cape, South Africa. The successful candidate will have the responsibility to provide excellent client service and build on client relationships, while exceeding their expectations to meet deadlines and drive the project to completion.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: R420 000,00 - R540 000,00 per year
Application Question(s):
Responsibilities
- Effective overall responsibility for project delivery and management of key elements including scope, deliverables, resources, timelines and budget.
- Identify target milestones and create detailed project plans
- Manage and communicate all deviations from the plan
- Monitor and Control projects through internal and external reporting
- Conduct Project Meetings and collaborate with team members
- Create and manage Project Documentation (So W’s, Weekly Status Reports, Issue/Risk Logs, time analysis, and project costs and forecasts
- Manage Key Stakeholders
- Manage internal Methys Team Members
- Define and follow up on schedule and quality of deliverables
- Bachelor's degree or higher will be beneficial
- Project Management Certification (PRINCE2, PMBOK, PMI, PPM etc)
- Experience in working face to face with external clients
- Experience in leading Executive Level Meetings
- Minimum 5+ years Project Management experience
- Basic understanding of Financial Statements, revenue recognition and forecasting
- Private equity / alternative investments background or knowledge will be a great benefit.
- High level of competence in Microsoft Office solutions incl. Microsoft Project.
- Able to work under pressure
- Proactive, analytical & resourceful, think outside the box
- Logical & ability to solve problems
- Excellent time-management skills
- Good interpersonal & communication skills
