Applications are invited for the above mentioned position to be based at Gqeberha.This person will report to the Production Controller
Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:
  • Preparing and starting equipment.
  • Operating equipment.
  • Shutting down equipment.
  • Changing over equipment.
  • Executing first line maintenance.
  • Assist with shutdown maintenance duties
  • Responsible for Quality checks.
  • Ensure QMS procedures are followed.
  • Accountability for outputs against production plan (OEE, Waste management)
  • Ensure compliance to Health and Safety standards
  • Participate actively in workplace improvement activities.
  • Ensure that health and safety standards are complied with.
  • Actively involved in Mini business activities and Problem solving methodology
A machine controller, while responsible for a primary machine would also be responsible for controlling the above in an area within the packaging hall – which may include a cluster of machines
The successful candidate must have the following experience/skills:
  • Grade 12
  • Successfully Completed Machine Controller Programme
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • N2 will be advantageous
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in a packaging environment.
