Requirements

• A relevant B degree in Civil Engineering (Structures)
• A minimum of 4 years post-qualification experience

in structural analysis and design.

• Must be physically fit and able to conduct site visits.
• A Code B driver’s licence, with own reliable vehicle.
• Eligible for Professional registration with the

Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA).

Key Performance Areas

• Compile schedules for candidate road structures

maintenance projects.

• Implementing maintenance projects ensuring

infrastructure is delivered on time, within budget to

the agreed standards.

• Compiling schedule of quantities, specifications and

drawings in accordance with the method of procurement.

• Compiling documentation for the procurement

process, evaluating tenders, compiling tender reports

and awarding work to the appropriate service providers.

• Monitoring the works to ensure compliance with

specifications, conducting regular site inspections and

meetings.

• Monitoring developments from inception to handover

to ensure compliance with approved design.

• Authorising and co-ordinating of the installation

of services to structures within the road reserve.
