Registration Administrative Assistant/Graduation Assistant (Fixed -Term Contract)

Varsity College is an educational brand of The Independent Institute of Education (The IIE). The IIE enjoys the reputation of being at the forefront of private higher education in South Africa, and is registered with the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) to provide higher education qualifications accredited by the Council on Higher Education (CHE).
We are looking for suitably qualified candidates to join our talent pool of candidates to work during our registration period. These will be contract roles based in the following departments :
- Admissions Centre
- Works with the Senior Admissions Officer to determine the eligibility of the graduation cohort including late graduation.
- Verifies and updates the graduation tracker with student information for prospective graduates.
- Works with the Results centre to track supps and deans results for prospective graduates.
- Update the Graduation tracker for those with a 100% completion rate.
- To follow up on students who have outstanding documents.
- Thorough checks of transcripts are to be done, and any issues with transcripts are to be logged with IT Support.
- Keep track of the students who have business holds and who will not receive their certificates on the day of graduation.
- Assists in verifying student information on programme sign-off vs student identity document.
- Ensure all students not listed on any of the reports are logged with IT Support.
- Respond to graduation tickets received via Assist or face-to-face.
- Complies with The Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) legislation relevant to the Admission Centre.
- Performs other ad hoc administrative and/or reporting duties as and when required.
- Minimum of a National Diploma/Advanced Certificate (NQF 6)
- Advanced Diploma or Degree (NQF 7) advantageous
- 2 years administrative experience
