About Us: We are a renowned winery located in the heart of Stellenbosch, known for our exceptional wines and outstanding hospitality. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced manager to lead our tasting room sales and restaurant operations.
Job Summary: The Tasting Room and Restaurant Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our tasting room and restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a passion for wine, exceptional leadership skills, and a commitment to providing an unparalleled guest experience. This role involves managing a team of staff, driving wine sales, and maintaining the highest standards of service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Management: Recruit, train, and supervise staff to ensure a high level of performance and customer service.
- Sales Growth: Develop and implement strategies and a culture to achieve and increase wine sales targets.
- Customer Experience: Ensure an exceptional guest experience by maintaining high standards of service and hospitality.
- Operations Management: Oversee daily operations, including inventory management, scheduling, and financial reporting.
- Event Coordination: Execute events and promotions to attract new customers and retain existing ones.
- Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
- Proven experience in a managerial role within the hospitality or wine industry.
- Strong knowledge of wines and wine service.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Outstanding customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
