Head Chef - Beachfront Restaurant - Knysna

Kendrick Recruitment is thrilled to present a fantastic role for a Head Chef, a big and diverse restaurant known for its exceptional culinary offerings. We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic chef to lead our kitchen team, manage operations, and create unforgettable dining experiences.
Position: Head Chef
Location: Knysna, South Africa
Salary: R25,000 - R30,000
Requirements: Must have own vehicle and valid driver’s license
Requirements:
- Culinary Expertise: Proven experience as a Head Chef in a large, diverse restaurant environment.
- Financial Acumen: Strong background in finance, including budget management and cost control.
- Leadership & Training: Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a culture of excellence.
- Track Record: Must have excellent references and a solid track record of success in similar roles.
- Transportation: Own vehicle and valid driver’s license required for the role.
- Kitchen Management: Oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene.
- Team Leadership: Lead, train, and motivate a diverse kitchen team, fostering teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Financial Management: Manage kitchen budgets, control costs, and ensure financial efficiency while maintaining quality.
- Menu Development: Create innovative menus that cater to a diverse clientele, keeping up with current food trends and guest preferences.
- Guest Experience: Ensure that every dish served meets the highest standards, contributing to an exceptional dining experience for all guests.
