Leverage Tax and Accounting Services is a dynamic and growing tax and accounting services firm dedicated to providing personalized and expert financial advice to businesses and
individuals. We are looking for a skilled and motivated Tax Consultant to join our team on a 5- month contract. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, assisting clients with tax planning, compliance, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
· Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, corporations, and compliance with local tax regulations like SARS.
· Provide tax planning and advisory services to clients, identifying opportunities for tax efficiency.
· Assist with tax audits and liaise with SARS on behalf of clients.
· Support clients in the preparation of provisional tax returns and filing of VAT, PAYE, and other statutory returns.
· Prepare and maintain accurate documentation related to tax submissions
· Collaborate with accounting and financial teams to ensure seamless integration of tax compliance with overall financial reporting.
· Provide support to clients on tax-related matters, answering queries, and offering guidance on best practices.
· Help resolve tax disputes, including responding to notices or assessments.
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Taxation, or a related field.
· 2+ years of experience in a tax consulting or accounting role.
· Strong knowledge of tax legislation and compliance requirements in South Africa.
· Experience with corporate tax, individual tax, VAT, and PAYE.
· Proficiency in E-filing and accounting systems.
· Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects within deadlines.
· Having a Tax Practitioner License would be advantageous.
· Experience in a client-facing consulting environment.
· Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
Job Types: Part-time, Temporary
Contract length: 5 months
Pay: From R12 000,00 per month
Expected hours: 40 per week
Ability to commute/relocate:

• Bryanston, Gauteng 2191: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Experience:

• Taxation, or Accounting: 2 years (Required)
