• Drives the effective functioning of the Global Compliance & Privacy Programme and provide in depth knowledge of business, business practice and competitive landscape to be Business Unit Leads in South Korea
• Conducts Market and Business Risk Assessments and develops and drives closure of effective risk mitigation plans. Partners with the business team to understand third party strategy and ensures compliance risks are considered and mitigated
• Ensures timely and accurate submission of all applicable Transparency Reporting requirements
• Takes the lead for third party related compliance activities in market including assessing due diligence reports, identifying and addressing red flags, making recommendation on the use of third parties, and ensuring that third parties are processed in line with company policy prior to engagement by the business.
• Drives the preparation of local procedures based on global policies and in ensuring that all procedures are communicated regularly to applicable employees
• Training, Education and Communication (employees): Deliver compliance and privacy trainings for employees, including new hire on-boarding, role specific training, refresher and issue-based training. Track and record delivery of training and communications.
• Investigations: Assists in investigations to the extent requested. Ensures investigative processes are followed
• Monitoring: Completes local monitoring programs where required designed to test the effectiveness and implementation of compliance controls in market
• Corrective & Preventive Action: Drives timely completion of corrective and preventive actions.
• Stays abreast of changes to South Korean privacy laws and in response conduct a gap analysis and partners with the business to develop and close mitigation actions as necessary.
• Supports the VP Compliance & Data Privacy in conducting quarterly Compliance Committee meetings with the International Markets Business Unit Leads
