Job Description:
DHL Group, a leading global logistics company, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Contract Risk Manager to join our team. The Contract Risk Manager will be responsible for managing contract risks, ensuring compliance, and mitigating potential liabilities across our organization. This is a key role that will contribute to the overall success of our business by ensuring effective contract management and risk mitigation strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate proposed commercial deals with the Business Unit (BU) from a risk perspective.
- Provide risk advice, risk pricing, and identify walk-away or escalation points.
- Produce formal risk advice papers for management and stakeholders.
- Review, draft, and negotiate contract terms and conditions for large clients in collaboration with Key Account Managers, BU leadership, and other functions such as Legal.
- Conduct risk assessments and evaluations for major corporates, including negotiation and advisory on risk terms.
- Ensure compliance with governance and compliance processes in complex organizational structures.
- Manage and navigate high-level governance and compliance requirements.
- Strong background and experience in the logistics and/or Supply Chain/Shipping industry, preferably in large companies.
- Minimum 5 years experience in risk assessment/evaluation and/or contract negotiations for major corporates.
- Excellent negotiation and advisory skills.
- Familiarity with risk pricing and risk management principles.
- Ability to evaluate proposed commercial deals and provide risk advice.
- Knowledge of contract terms and conditions.
- Experience working in large multi-nationals with complex organizational structures.
- Strong business acumen and awareness of risk in commercial deals.
- Familiarity with governance and compliance processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
